Catalogue
Browsing what organisations on the instance list (bots, behaviours and repositories), judging an entry on its page, and adding it to your organisation with Sharing and Model.
The Catalogue (/app/catalogue) shows the bots, behaviours and repositories
that organisations on this instance list. Everyone signed in can browse it and
open an entry's page. Using an entry needs your organisation to add it and to
share it with you. Access control
describes listing and what it shares.
Browsing
The Catalogue has the Library's layout. Its header has a search field, and a rail on the left (above the results on small screens) has these parts:
- The views: Discover, and one per kind (Bots, Behaviours, Repositories) with its count.
- The view's filters, on a kind view or while searching. On narrow screens they open from Filters, which shows how many are set.
| View | Filters |
|---|---|
| Bots | Model (Any, Works with any model, Tuned for a model, Requires a model), Organisation, Hide added |
| Behaviours, Repositories | Organisation, Hide added |
| Discover, while searching | Organisation, Hide added |
Discover shows the newest entries, then a shelf per kind with See all. While there are fewer than six entries it shows them in one grid. A search from Discover covers every kind, and on a kind view it covers that kind. Results sort by Newest or A to Z and page like the Library. Search, filters, sort and page are part of the address, so going back from an entry's page returns to the same results at the same scroll position.
Each tile names the organisation the entry comes from and what it holds: a bot's behaviour and repositories, "Prompt" for a behaviour, or a repository's assets. A bot's tile shows the model its author set up: Requires … when its chats always use that model, Tuned for … when it is a recommendation. A check on the icon marks what your organisation already added. The organisation's name opens its page, and while the Organisation filter is set, a link above the results leads to each chosen organisation's page.
An entry's page
Opening a tile shows the entry's page: its organisation and owner, its description, and what you need to judge it before adding it.
- A bot lists its behaviour and repositories, with their assets, and says which model it asks for and whether your organisation can use that model.
- A behaviour shows its full prompt.
- A repository shows its first assets and how many more it holds.
Admins and managers see Add to … for your active organisation. Other members are told to ask them. An entry your organisation added shows Added to … and Open in Library. One it made itself shows Open in Library.
An organisation's page
Every organisation on the instance has a page (/app/organizations/<id>) that
everyone signed in can open from an entry's organisation in the Catalogue or
the Library ("From …"), from the organisation picker and from the
Organisation filter. It shows the organisation's logo, name and
description, and how many bots, behaviours and repositories it lists in the
Catalogue, and each count opens the Catalogue's view of that kind filtered to the
organisation. It shows no members. Its admins see Edit, which
opens the Organisation settings
where the description is written, switching to that organisation first when
another one is active.
Adding an entry
Add to … adds the entry to your organisation and opens its steps.
A bot's page offers Also add its behaviour and … repositories to … under its contents, unticked at first, for the blocks your organisation has not added yet. Those it already added are marked Added to …. Ticked, Add to … adds them with the bot, so your organisation can build its own bots from them. Each stands on its own in the Library, and removing the bot later keeps them. They are added unshared, so share them from their pages in the Library. For a bot added without them, its page in the Catalogue and the … menu of its page in the Library offer Add its behaviour and … repositories to … while some are not added yet.
Add to … leads through these steps:
- Sharing: who in your organisation may use it. Nobody can until you share it. Grants here are always for use, so your organisation cannot edit, list or delete what it added.
- Model (bots only): the model the bot's chats use in your organisation, recommended or required, with the same settings and coverage as the bot editor's Model step. When the author set up a model that your organisation also has and may use, it is preselected as the Author's pick: …. Otherwise pick another model or ask an admin to enable it. Skip leaves people free to pick any model.
- Done: start a chat with the bot (once it is shared with you), open it in the Library, or go back to the Catalogue.
Leaving the steps early keeps the entry added and keeps any sharing or model settings you saved. Finish the rest later from the entry's Access & groups and, for a bot, its Model in … card in the Library. The entry then appears in your Library marked "From" its home organisation, and the Origin filter there separates it from what your organisation made. Remove from … in its … menu takes it out again. Changes its home organisation makes reach you right away, and taking it out of the Catalogue removes it from every organisation that added it.
The OrcAI Assistant can search the Catalogue and, for admins and managers, add and remove entries after you confirm, including a bot together with its behaviour and repositories.
Write a behaviour
Write the system prompt of a behaviour, with what OrcAI already handles, a structure and an example to start from, the usual pitfalls, and how to test a behaviour in a chat.
Access control
Organisation roles and their permissions, choosing the active organisation, invitations, groups, sharing with the Can view, Can edit and Can manage roles, inherited access, and why someone cannot see a bot, block or asset.
